Here are a few promoting tips that help you to promote on Twitter. Tips that should help you to increase your target market:
- Brand yourself by giving your profile a branded URL name! Use your site name or something similiar! (twitter.com/mybrandname)
- Customize your profile by using your colors and logos/images, this helps give your profile a more branded look.
- Put your twitter URL in the bottom of your emails. Another great place is in your Forum Signatures and in your blog and sites!
- Think of each tweet you send out as a headline. Make it a attention getting headline! Occasionally ask a question or reply to a question that you know the answer too!
- Here are a few common words that get response when you tweet. "Please ReTweet", "Check out", "Follow this person", "Please vote", "Help me" and questions like “What do you think of…”
- Follow other people. Following lots of other people will give you a chance to answer the questions of those you follow and helps get you to be noticed.
- To get found by potential affiliates, make sure to use keywords in your "twits"
- Use your main keywords at the beginning of your tweets! Search engines are starting to index tweets!
- Don't post every 10 minutes, you sure don't want to lose followers because they think you're a spammer!
- To look less like a spammer/scammer or a "bot"..make sure you fill out your Bio! (Idea for tip given by KimPup (her tweeter account)! Thanks)
- Top Follow Friday (see who endorses you, and who endorses whom).
- Tweet Later (Increase Your Visibility).

Good knowlege about Twitter! You are all ontop of it!
I love the info on your sites.
Another good tip is to keep your tweets focused to your target audience. If you clutter up their timelines with auto-filled ads and junk, they're likely to ignore you. A simple, direct tweet every now and then gets you a better, quality audience. ;)
